Chairladies meet again after the Covid-19 break
All 31 women’s groups were represented at the first chairladies’ meeting since Covid-19, which refreshed everyone on roles, expectations and MASYAP’s purpose.
On Wednesday 7 April 2021, the chairladies of MASYAP’s women’s support groups held their first meeting since the Covid-19 restrictions, with all 31 groups represented.
The Women’s Coordinator spoke to the chairladies about running group activities day to day and about MASYAP’s main objective: the fight against HIV/AIDS.
Why the meeting matters
The chairladies’ meeting brings all the support groups together to share experiences. It reminds the chairladies of their roles, of what MASYAP expects of them and of what they can expect from the organisation, and of the importance of coordination. As the meeting had not been held for a long time because of Covid-19, it also helped everyone agree on the way forward.
