Muslim World League funds four boreholes for support group communities
Four boreholes in Zomba, Blantyre and Thyolo will bring clean water to communities where people walked 2.5 km for water.
The Muslim World League has donated four boreholes in Zomba, Blantyre and Thyolo districts, through MASYAP support groups.
Balakasi and Mapanga support groups were the first identified as communities without access to clean water. People there walked about 2.5 km to fetch water, which could easily become contaminated on the way home, increasing the risk of waterborne disease.
The project aims to reach more communities facing the same problem, to reduce waterborne disease. Read more about the borehole project.
