HIV testing outreach in Nchalo: 47 women tested
MASYAP visited Nchalo, south of Blantyre, to talk about HIV and the 90-90-90 targets, and tested 47 women.
MASYAP visited Nchalo, south of Blantyre, to offer HIV testing. Our Support Group Coordinator and our Youth and HTC Officer spoke to the women about HIV, followed by a short quiz on what they had learned.
Know your status
Both speakers stressed the importance of testing and knowing your status, especially in light of the UNAIDS 90-90-90 targets:
- 90% of people living with HIV know their status
- 90% of those diagnosed are on treatment
- 90% of those on treatment have a suppressed viral load
Testing followed the talk, and 47 women were tested. MASYAP thanks everyone who made the day possible.
