New microfinance members trained as the scheme reaches every support group
In 2017 the microfinance scheme expanded to include all MASYAP support groups. New members were trained in managing interest-free loans.
The MASYAP microfinance scheme gives interest-free loans to members who run small businesses, as a form of financial empowerment.
Because the scheme ran so successfully during 2017, MASYAP was able to include all of its support groups in it by the end of the year.
In November 2017, all new members of the scheme received training on how to manage their loans.
