Murabaha: freezers, cement and tools for six businesses
Instead of cash, six members received business assets through MASYAP’s Murabaha scheme, from deep freezers to cement and a saw for carpentry.
As well as cash loans, MASYAP supports members through its Murabaha scheme, which provides business assets instead of cash, on Shariah-compliant terms.
In this period, six members received equipment and materials to start or grow their businesses:
- 4 deep freezers for small frozen food and drinks businesses
- 40 bags of cement for a construction business
- 1 manual saw to help a member start a carpentry business
Providing the exact tools each business needs reduces the risk of loans being used for other purposes and supports lasting income. Through Murabaha, MASYAP continues to support enterprise and help households become more secure and self-reliant.
