Youth workshop on human trafficking
MASYAP youth attended a Government and CADECOM workshop warning young people about trafficking disguised as jobs abroad.
Alongside our monthly support group visits, MASYAP youth took part in a workshop run by the Malawi Government and the Catholic Development Commission (CADECOM). CADECOM works with young people to raise awareness and empower them to lead sustainable development that promotes dignity and self-reliance.
The workshop raised awareness of human trafficking disguised as job offers abroad, which has claimed many young victims around the world. The young people were advised not to take such dangerous risks, and to take responsibility for their lives through enterprise instead.
