Steadfast Ways visit MASYAP’s youth programme
MASYAP held a showcase for visitors from Steadfast Ways, with a netball match and time with 60 youth members.
Steadfast Ways is a global, diverse team of professionals who believe in equal access to opportunity and promote women’s empowerment through economic participation.
The team visited MASYAP on Thursday 10 October 2019, and MASYAP organised a showcase to introduce them to its youth programmes. Sixty youth members, five members of the women’s groups and the MASYAP team attended.
The day
The event opened with a netball match between two youth support groups, Chiwembe and BCA, and the visitors were impressed by the girls’ talent. The rest of the day was spent with members, learning about their work against HIV/AIDS in their communities. The guests were also impressed by MASYAP’s women’s empowerment programmes, which aim to improve the livelihoods of thousands of women.
Following the visit, Steadfast Ways supported a youth microfinance pilot.
