Threads of Care: MASYAP opens a tailoring centre with World Care Foundation
Our new tailoring project employs 10 women from MASYAP’s support groups and makes free school uniforms for families who cannot afford them.
On 2 November 2020, MASYAP launched Threads of Care, a project run with the Scotland-based World Care Foundation.
We have opened a tailoring centre employing 10 women tailors from MASYAP’s women’s and youth support groups.
What the project does
- Teaches vulnerable women new skills and gives them paid work
- Helps their communities by giving essential items, such as school uniforms, free of charge to parents who cannot afford them
The tailors are currently sewing school uniforms.
