Reusable sanitary pads, sewn by MASYAP, keep girls in school
49 schoolgirls from MASYAP’s youth groups received reusable sanitary pads made by our tailors, so they don’t miss school during their periods.
On 5 May 2021, MASYAP gave reusable sanitary pads, sewn by our own tailors, to 49 school-going members of our youth groups. The aim is to help girls avoid missing school when they are menstruating.
We also took the opportunity to talk to the girls about hygiene and the importance of continuing their education.
The girls came from 31 youth support groups. They are very grateful, as the pads lift a burden from parents who cannot afford to buy disposable pads every month.
