2017 Youth Annual General Meeting
Youth groups met in Blantyre to share experiences and discuss the issues facing their groups. A young nurse from Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital was guest speaker.
On 4 November 2017, MASYAP’s youth groups came together at the IQRA Propagation Centre Hall in Blantyre to share experiences and discuss the issues affecting their support groups. The meeting inspired groups that had been less active to take a fuller part in MASYAP’s activities.
The guest speaker, Beatrice Maulidi, a nurse at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital, advised the girls to work hard at school and to avoid behaviour that could put them at risk of HIV. As a young female nurse she was a role model, showing the girls that they can become anything they choose, whatever their gender.
